Excursion Program: 6 days / 5 nights

Cities to visit: Baku » Sheki » Absheron 

DAY 1/ Baku

  • Arriving at Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport

  • Passport control and other formalities. The company representative will meet the guests with a welcome

  • board at the arrival hall

  • Transfer to the hotel (30 min)

  • Check-in to the hotel (standard check-in time 14:00)

  • 14:30 Transfer to the restaurant for lunch

  • 16:00 – Pick up from the restaurant for an excursion to City (Baku evening tour by walk). See the panorama of the city and enjoy a walk on the city boulevard. You will get a chance to see old parts of the city as well, as modern buildings are located nearby. Flame Towers and the city bay panorama will make your tour exquisite and memorable. After the funicular and seeing Highland Park, and Martyrs Lane, walk around the boulevard to enjoy the fresh air and see the Maiden Tower. This night tour will be an amazing experience for first-time visitors who enjoy serene night walks.

DAY 2/ Sheki 

 

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Baku

  • 08:00 am. Excursion to Sheki and its architectural monuments (duration of excursion 10hrs) Today, we enjoy a full-day Sheki tour. Sheki is located 675 m above sea level on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus around 370 km away from Baku. The region around the city is a real natural wonder with beautiful landscapes, mineral water springs, forests, and rivers. The majestic Palace of Sheki Khans is considered one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of medieval Azerbaijan. Our first stop will be at Hilarious Biogarden which is located next to Shaki city. Local farmers created an outstanding garden from different types of trees, bushes, and flowers. This beautiful garden is a must-see place if you are a nature lover. Our next stop will be Shaki Khan Palace is the most exclusive historical place here. The uniquely beautiful two-floored palace with its magnificent interior, exterior and amazing construction will be fascinating for you.

  • 13:00 Transfer to a local restaurant for amazing homemade food.

  • 13:30 – 14:30 Lunch

  • 14:30 Transfer to your hotel for Check-in

  • 15:00 After check-in, our next destination will be Shaki Caravanserai. Caravanserais used to be roadside inns for travelers mostly traders who made long journeys between east and west in caravans. You are welcome in through the gigantic wooden doors and explore the handsome building and inner yard. Then we will head to the Church of Kish, If you are curious about more ancient than the khanate period, Kish Albanian Chuch can be the best visual example for you. This religious place is located in the village of Kish, approximately 5 km north of Shaki, also known as the Church of Saint Elishe or Holy  Mother of God Church. İt has functioned at different times as a Caucasian Albanian Apostolic church, a Caledonian church with the Georgian church. The current structure of the church was built in the 12th century.

DAY 3/ Sheki

 

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • 10:00 – 18:00 Full-day activities (you will have the choice of activities like a picnic with BBQ, wellness, or spa packages according to your group interest)

  • 13:00 – 14:00 lunch at the hotel

  • 19:30 Transfer to the restaurant

  • 20:00 – 21:00 Dinner

  • Transfer back to the hotel

  • Overnight at the hotel in Sheki

DAY 4/ Baku – Absheron

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • 08:00 am. After check-out, we will leave for Baku.

  • 12:00 Transfer to the restaurant in Baku

  • 12:30 - 13:30 Lunch

  • 13:30 Today, we enjoy the Ateshgah temple and Yanardag tour from Baku. Excursion to Absheron (duration of excursion 4hrs). Excursion to Yanardag - Eternal fire, which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula; Ateshgah (Ancient Zoroastrian Temple which was visited by Gandhi and Tzar Nicholas in Azerbaijan; UNESCO World Heritage Site). We will start the tour with an excursion to Ateshgah. The temple of fire worshippers Ateshgah is located on the Apsheron peninsula on the outskirts of Surakhani village and has been revered at different times by Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs. The current constructions of the temple date back to the XVII century. As a result of recent excavations far more ancient artifacts were discovered here. By the President of Azerbaijan’s decree, Ateshgah was declared a State historical-architectural reserve. This museum under the open sky was recently restored. Different workshops and souvenir galleries are located here now. The excursion ends at Yanar Dag. Yanar Dag is a natural gas fire that blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea.

DAY 5/ Baku - Bazaar - Hamam

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • 09:00 am. Today you’ll get to know the dynamic capital city of Azerbaijan with our full-day guided tour of Baku. Visit some of the city’s acclaimed symbols and experience its extraordinary contrasts as you start your sightseeing at Inner City or Icheri Sheher and end your day with a visit to the city’s most modern sights including Heydar Aliyev Center. Begin our tour at the heart of ancient Baku; Icheri Sheher is dubbed Baku’s Acropolis and is the first of its kind in the country to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through this walled city which is well-preserved as a historical-architectural reserve, and step back in time as you marvel at its many old, venerable landmarks such as Maiden’s Tower, Shirvanshah Palace Complex, and Castle Synyk Gala (most of which date back between the 7th century and 16th century). Icheri Sheher is also home to the world’s only Miniature Books Museum, featuring a massive repertoire of books collected by the museum’s owner, Zarifa Salahova. You’ll get to see here 6500 plus books from over 65 countries. Next, get ready for a shift in the scene as you follow your guide to Highland Park or Viewing Square which is considered one of Baku’s highest and most picturesque spots. Besides its super relaxed ambiance, you can expect to take in the best of the city views from here. Continue your trip to the iconic Flame Tower - a set of three flame-shaped towers (reflecting Baku’s ancient fire-worshiping tradition), and then set off to Baku National Boulevard which is more than 100 years old and one of the city’s favorite recreation spots. Afterward, you’ll head to Baku’s attractions like Fountains Square and Carpet Museum with one of the world’s largest collections of carpets plus thousands of such unique exhibits as ceramics, metal works, Bronze Age jewelry, etc. Before we drop you back at your hotel, get a closer look at the Heydar Aliyev Center which is regarded as the symbol of modern Baku for its intricately stunning curved-style architecture.

  • 14:30 Continuing our tour, visiting Baku bazaar & spice market for popular street market shopping

  • 16:00 Transfer to a Traditional Azerbaijani Hammam

  • 16:30 - 20:00 Enjoy Hammam Bath’s unique wellness & bath complex in Baku to relax, scrub (salt, coffee, honey), steam room, shower, pool, massage, and socialize while having our traditional tea with jam.

  • 20:00 Transfer to the restaurant

  • 20:30-21:30 Dinner

  • Transfer back to the hotel

  • Overnight at the hotel in Baku

DAY 6/ Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Check out from the hotel (standard check-out time 12:00) In case of late departure, suitcases can be left in the hotel till pick- up time
